Durable and clear in design, these corn plastic clamshells are made from PLA derived from corn. The cornstarch is heated and processed and then molded into the shape of the clamshells. They are a perfect food container for sandwiches, salads, fruit, veggies, desserts, and more. These PLA clamshells are Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI®) Certified Compostable to compost within 180 days in a commercial compost facility. These clear, classic clamshells fit the needs and requirements of the food service industry as well as the individual consumer who is interested in sustainability!
